Carpatho-Ruthenian Genealogy Research
Posted by: James Taylor (ID *****7419) Date: June 15, 2003 at 14:11:32

Is there a Carpatho-Ruthenian genealogy research group in Youngstown? I am hoping if there is such a group, I might get some help researching my Zdill family/Saint George Byzantine Catholic Church connections.
I believe that the orginal members of Saint George were Ruthenian in heritage. I am told that Zdill is not a Hungarian name, even though Andrew Zdill was born in Hungary.
I am in unknown territory with the Carpatho-Ruthenian culture. I have read what I could find, but don't really have the knowledge that I should have. Any help would be appreciated.
