I am looking for information on Rhea JACKSON who married a Mr. KATTMAN. I believe she may have married a Mr. Hiram L. KATTMAN (b. abt. 1903; d. 1962). Rhea was the daughter of Harry Leslie JACKSON and Elizabeth WARD. Harry was from Butler Co., PA. He moved to Ten Mile Twp., Harrison Co., WV to continue his career in the oil industry. He met Elizabeth WARD, daughter of Amos and Matilda WARD who ran a boarding house. Harry and Elizabeth had a son named Chester JACKSON around 1908, and then Rhea JACKSON in April 1910. Harry caught "swamp fever" in 1914 after visiting his own father's deathbed in Pennsylvania. He did not recover and died at the age of 41. Elizabeth, now widowed, moved her two children from West Virginia to Ohio, her parents' homestate. By 1920, she was running her own boarding house and her father had passed away. She, her mother Matilda, and her two children, Chester and Rhea, lived on East Ohio Avenue in Sebring. By 1930, Chester and Rhea were both still living with Elizabeth and both worked outside the home. Matilda had passed away.
It would appear that Rhea married sometime after the 1930 census and died in Jan 1976 with the last name KATTMAN.
Any information on the JACKSON, WARD, or KATTMAN families of Sebring, Smith Twp., Mahoning Co., OH would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for reading this message.
