thanks for all the information.
I found that Thomas Langen died in 1873 at the age of 60 yrs and that might be the reason they are in Franklin county. Thomas Langen is listed as a native of Wesmeath IR according to the cemetery records.

one reason that people lied about their age was so they won't be thought to old to work. so people tended to get younger as they got older.
