Hi Terry Just saw your post. My map of Stokes is quite large almost 3 feet square and is very fragile. I have it framed but it is fading. I superimposed it on a 1900 map but it is just as large. I would have to go to Columbus to a blueprint shop to have it copied. I know of only one other copy in the area and it is just as big. My 1862 map is in sections and I could copy it for you, if that would help. The bluegrass pasture next to the Stroup cemetery is to be plowed this fall. the owner has given me permission to go back for a look see. He is going to check for any foundation he might find in his field, that would show if any buildings were in the area. We got slammed by hurricane IKE and I haven't been working on my Stokes twp people. Who would have thought a hurricane in Ohio. Pat Notify Administrator about this message?
