Hi Clayton
I believe I have found them. John and Mary are supposed to be buried near the Correll cemetery which is in Paint twp on land owned by John Linson in 1862.( oldest map I have of Paint twp.) There were 3 graves enclosed by a wrought iron fence. I am going to see if I can get a picture to send you if it still existes.
The Maxey School was in Paint twp on Correll Maxey RD, which is a half mile from the Correll cemetery: the Crawford Farm cemetery (Corson) is in Range twp on Crawford Rd. one of Stroup family married into the Corson family.
John Linson married David and Mary Rae Stroup's daughter Nancy.they are all buried in the Linson cemetery Paint twp
John and Isabelle Withrow Stroup are buried in Paint twp Cemetery( Watson Section)

Peter Buffenbarger and John Stroup both came to Madison county Paint twp in 1810. John settled on land that was owned by Buffenbarger.I will check to see who owned the original land grant.
do you know what county they lived in in PA?
more later Jean
