Hi Jean, The person I am looking for is John Stroup. dies around 1835 give or take a few years. There are 2 stories as to his buriel location. One says in cemetery at Maxey Schoolhouse in Paint Township and the other says Crawford Farm Cemetery. The schoolhouse no longer exist and when my cousin visited there in the early 80's the grave could not be located. An inscription she had found indicated his wife was there but no evidence he was. So my hopes are that the Crawford Farm Cemetery may bring better luck.
Thanks for your help, Clay Crandall
