Index to Births, Lucas County Probate Court
Posted by: Karen Gwynn (ID *****4806) Date: June 21, 2005 at 20:20:44

I recently sent a request to the Lucas county probate court requesting birth records for a great uncle. What I got back was a copy of the page from the "Index of Birth" with an entry showing his name, date of birth, and a volume and page number. What do I do now? Is it possible to get a copy of the actual birth record -- whatever form it was in in 1898? Apparently there is more information since there's a reference to a volume/page. How do I go about getting that information?

Thanks in advance for any help.
