A Fred WENGERT d 8 Oct 1925.

According to the 1920 census, Fred was the son of Farnam WENGERT, 66, widow, bp Germany. Fred had a sister Jeanette then 15 and a brother ?Ezra W. then age 30. This family was enumerated in dwelling #311 and they lived in Adams Twp. on Glendale avenue.

Several houses down at dwelling #308 was a George WENGERT family. That family consisted of:
head, George, 55, bp Germany, imm. 1881, nat. 1888
wife, Elizabeth, 46, bp Germany, imm. unknown, naturalized
dau, Rose, 24, bp OH
son, George, 16, bp OH
son, William, 13, bp OH
son, Lawrence, 8, bp OH

I cannot find Farnam or Ezra in the 1930 census; Jeanette may have married by then.

In 1930, the George WENGERT family lived in Lake Twp., Wood County. In that census, George immigrated in 1883 and Elizabeth in 1880. That census also shows middle initials of the children; Rose C., George A., William J. and Lawrence W.

The Ohio Death Index shows these WENGERT deaths:
George A., d 20 Dec 1971 in Wood Co., age 68, never married
William J., d 7 May 1975 in Oregon, Lucas, age 68, married
Lawrence W., d 24 Jun 1966 in Columbus, Franklin, residence Wood Co., married
A Viola Roecker WENGERT, (Mrs. Lawrence W.) d o/b 2 Aug 1973 in Wood County.

As for living descendants, a David WENGERT, about 64 years old, lives in Luckey, Wood, OH. Check http://www.infospace.com for his address.
