I am seeking the family of a William/Will PETTE/PETTEE who was a grandson of Louis PETTEE, who died 4 Jan 1901, age 108, in Blissfield Twp, Lenawee Co., MI. Will's wife seems to have been a PHILO, perhaps a dau. of Martin PHILO and wife Mary A. (?) on the 1880 Census Blissfield Twp., Lenawee Co., MI. I need to learn the maiden name of Martin PHILO's mother, Martha. The Philo's were from Falls Twp., Luzerne Co., PA. 1830, in 1850, I find Martha and children in Sandusky, Sandusky, OH. Believe her husband's name was Ward. In 1851 she married Alexander WILLIAMS. By 1880 she is a widow, living with son, Ward, in Jackson Twp., Steuben Co., Indiana, as Martha WILLIAMS. She was born ca 1811 NJ.
Her son Ward, married in 1851, Sandusky Co., OH to Cordelia/Delia HORN, d/o Charles HORN. Any help appreciated
