Bill: I am very interested in knowing of Leonard and Minnie Barbeau (new info for me). I also presumed that there might be a relative that brought them to Toledo, but didn't know who. The fact that Joseph Prosper was buried in Calvary rather than in the infirmary cemetery indicated that a family plot may have been available. Joseph and Malinda were married in St. John the Evangelist church (RC)in Defiance, OH ca 1868, as was her sister, my great-grandmother Elizabeth Barbeau Periard ca 1865. I know vaguely that there was a Louis Barbeau, their brother, who married and continued to live in the Defiance area, and I have spoken with (never met)his descendent Harry Barbeau, now living in AZ in his 80s. (I discovered him through internet/genealogical sites). Also, another sister, Marie, married Auguste LaChapelle and lived out her life in Hicksville, OH,. Shall I contact St. Mary church in Toledo for records? Shall I call Calvary Cemetery for info on Joseph's burial records, and those buried in the same plot?
