From The Blade, Saturday, Nov. 1, 1986;
"Wayne Woodruff, age 66, of Blandin Street, Oregon, died yesterday in St. Charles Hospital. He was an assistant manager 30 years at McCorkel's Market, retiring in 1982. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, and daughter, Jeanette. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Eggleston-Meinert-Welsh Mortuary, where the body will be after 2 p.m. tomorrow."

From The Blade, Wednesday, July 1, 1987:
"Mrs. Dorothy Woodruff. 65, of Blandin Avenue, Oregon, died today in Riverside Hospital. She was the widow of Wayne Woodruff. Surviving are her daughter Jeanette Woodruff; sister, Bernadine Garczynski and mother Mrs. Catherine Garczynski. Services will be at 1 p.m. in the Eggleston-Meinert-Welsh Mortuary, where the body will be after 3 today."
