Isabella's maiden name was listed as CORRIE in her marriage record and in the birth record of their 1st child. Isabella was born abt 1855 in Ashfield Twp., Huron Co., Ontario, daughter of Peter & Margaret Corrie.

Loren Dickson was listed in the 1885 Dakota census as a son, age 3 (born abt 1882).

An unidentified child was born 1885-1887 and the John Andrew Dickson, b. 2 Dec 1885, seems to be a possible match for this child since his age and birthplace (Cass Co.) are consistent and he reported his parents' names as Robert Dickson and "Belle" in his own marriage record. Inconsistencies are that his parents' birthplaces are reported as ND in the 1910 & 1920 censuses and he reported his mother's maiden name appears as "Moffett" in his marriage record. However, if Isabella died 1887-1890 as it appears her child (John?) would have been quite young so he could easily have made a mistake about her maiden name. Robert Dickson's own father was named John but it will take a bit more digging to determine if the John born in 1885 is a match or not to Robert's youngest child.

Thanks for your input.
