"The Blade", Sat., June 21, 1980, 1-6-2:
Mrs. Roberta J. Tyler, 53, of 8 Marion Ct., died Friday in her home. She was a waitress the last 11 years at the Hoe Wah Inn. She was a past president of the ladies auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreigh Wars, Sylvania Avenue post, and of the Military Order of the Cootie.
Surviving are her husband, John; daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Arnold, Mrs. Linda Mercer, and Mrs. Margaret Roehrig; sisters, Mrs. Amelia Thomas and Mrs. Anna Zimmerman, and step-sister, Mrs. Judy Roepke.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the H. H. Birkenkamp Mortuary, Broadway, where the body will be after 6 tonight. VFW services will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the mortuary.

"The Blade", Tues., Dec. 12, 1988, 2-20-2:
John N. Tyler, 66, of Malcolm Road, died yesterday in his home. An army veteran of World War II, he was maintenance worker at the Toledo Health and Retiree Center for 20 years, retiring in 1985.
Surviving are his daughters, Mrs. Margaret Henderson, Ms. Sylvia Arnold, and Ms. Linda Gfell, and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the H. H. Birkenkamp Mortuary, Broadway, where the body will be after 2 today. The family requests that any contributions be to the Hospice Association of Northwest Ohio.
