I am trying to find out information about William Bancroft, b. 29 Jul 1802 in East Windsor, Harford Connecticut and d. 2 Apr 1861 in Blissfield Township, Lenawee County Michigan. He married Mary Ann (Larid) Bancroft in about 1826 in Canada. She was b. 2 April 1811 in Canada and d. 23 May 1885 in Tecumsah, Lenawee County Michigan.
William came from New York in and early day, probably in the 1820's in settled in the Ohio/Michigan area. He was one of the early pioneers in Sylvania township Ohio. His first daughter, Elizabeth (Libbie) was the first white child born in Sylvania, OHio, Township.
He owned land in Ohio and also lived in Whiteford MIchigan and Tecumsah.
I would appreciate any information about William and Mary Ann and their life in Ohio/Michigan.
