My mother, b 1910, remembers a hired man on her Dad's farm. He claimed he was Ottawa and went by the name (phonetically) Shofulgeezer. He was of an undetermined age (very old) and a great friend to my mother, as a young child. She said one day he just disappeared and nobody ever saw him again.
