From "The Blade", Saturday, Oct. 29, 1983:
William M. Ballard, 77, of Tappan Avenue, died Thursday in Toledo Hospital. He was employed 35 years by the Doehler-Jarvis Castings division of NL Industries, retiring in 1967 as warehouse supervisor. Surviving are his wife, Gertrude; son, Terry, and daughter, Linda Ballard. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Regina Coeli Church. The body is in the Ansberg-West Mortuary, where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday.

From "The Blade", Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003:
Linda A. Ballard, 60, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2003 at St. Anne Mercy Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gertrude Ballard. Linda was employed in the Central Collections Department 30 years with Ford Motor Co. Credit, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed golf and bowling.
Surviving is her brother, Terry (Rose) Ballard; niece, Laura (Marc) Monyek; nephews, Robert (Karen) and Michael (Cristy) Ballard; 11 great-nieces and nephews.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Church. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Friday in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue where Wake services will begin at 7:30 p.m. Any tributes may be made in the form of contributions to the charity of the donor's choice.
