There was a William E. PIERCE in the 1930 Toledo census, renting at 803 Michigan street. The household members were:
head, William E., 63, first md at 38, IL VA OH, proprietor-farm
wife, Nora, 50, first md at 25, IL IL IL
son, Frank, 24, IL, laborer
son, Clifford, 23, IL
son, Edward, 2, IL
dau, Glayds, 16, MN
dau, Detta, 13, MN
dau, Maryetta, 9, MN
son, Roy, 6, MN

In 1920 they lived in Jackson Village, Jackson, MN:
head, Edward W., 52, IL PA OH, farming
wife, Nora D., 40, IL IL England
son, Harlan F., 17, IL
son, Frank T., 15, IL
son, Clifford O., 12, IL
son, Edward C., 9, IL
dau, Elsie I. , MN
dau, Gladys J., 5, MN
dau, Detta N., 2-2/12, MN

I'll have to check for William E. and Nora's obits. I am reasonably sure the following are their children's deaths, all in Lucas County:
Harlan, b 10 Jun 1902, d 11 Jun 1989
Frank, d 9 Jun 1960, age 55
and possibly, Charles Edward (Edward C. in the census) d 27 Jul 1989.
