Blanche could not have been married to Harvey unless
1) he and Virginia divorced and they remarried after Dec. 1972
2) Harvey Sr. married Blanche and two women named Virginia.

When Harvey Sr. died 29 Nov 1977, he was married to Virginia. When Harvey Jr. died 12 Mar 2002 at age 65, his obit said his parents, Harvey and Virginia, died before him. Blanche MATTIER d 3 Dec 1972.

You need to get Blanche's death cert, or maybe her obit, from Dade Co. FL to determine her maiden name. Other options are the birth certs of her children. Check the link I previously gave you, http://www.mdpls.org/info/locations/main/gd.asp, for the Miami/Dade Co. library.

I checked the Birth Records Index and Clarence was born 2 Feb 1914-birth cert #603 and Chauncey Earl (Earl C. in the census) was born 27 Jan 1916-cert #440. Those certs are availble for viewing (free) or copying ($20) at the Lucas County Health Dept., 635 N. Erie St., Toledo. The hours for genealogy research are M-F 8am-noon and 2-4 pm only.
