Looking for information on a Katherine DESMOND, born 1885 or 1886 in Toledo. Her father was James Desmond, who worked at Evoy's Saloon at the corner of South St. Clair & Lafayette Streets in Toledo. Mother is unknown.

Katherine Desmond was later adopted by Katherine EVOY, widow of Martin Evoy, the saloon's proprietor.

In 1905, Katherine married Henry NILES, originally of Vermont, later Michigan, a man 25 years her senior, who was a railroad worker. They had three daughters, Viola, Helen, and Marguerite.

Around 1915 or 1916, Katherine just up and left the family. Henry then left Toledo and moved back to Michigan with the three girls. The three daughters, now all deceased, always refused to talk about their mother. The daughters' children would love to know what ever became of their grandmother Katherine.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!
