Naturalization records for Lorain County are kept in the courthouse in Elyria, Ohio. Unfortunately, the courthouse does not take mail requests for information. I live in Lorain County and research in Elyria occasionally. If you can not get the information you need from NARA, I would be willing to check the Naturalization microfilm for you the next time I am near the courthouse --- which may be a month or so.

I also have some histories of Lorain County from that time period. If you like, I would be happy to search the histories for reference of your person, if you will furnish me with a name and any other particulars you may have. My mail address is:

Regards --- Richard Kurish
