Hi Ernie,
I'm hoping that you may have a connection to my family, or at least point me in the right direction. I noticed in your post the mention of Warner and Slauter being attached to the Curtis family you are researching, I am descended from both.My 3g-grandfather Henry Munson Warner, b. 9 Jan 1804, Waterbury, CT came to Elyria, Ohio in the 1830's. He married Sarah Slauter, b. 1815, Luzerne Co., PA, in Elyria 30 Apr 1835.They had three children, Adeline J. -b. 1836;George W. - b.19 Dec 1838; and Edwin Henry - b. 4 Feb 1853. The two oldest were born in Elyria, and Edwin was born in Madison, Dane Co., WI; this is who I descend from.
Sara's mother is where I hope to find a connection, her name is Sally (Sarah) Curtiss, b. 1788, Stockbridge, MA. She married Jared Slauter, b. June/July 1782, MA. They are buried in Carlisle, Lorain, OH.I have been able to find out more about Jared, his father was Ephraim, grandfather Gilbert. Am looking forward to any info on the parentage of Sally.
