Alva Curtis b. 15 Jul 1779 Stockbridge, Berkshire Co, MA d. 20 Aug 1846 Lorain Co, OH and buried at North Ridge Cemetery along with wife Chloe Whittlesey b. 8 Sep 1779 Stockbridge d. 20 Aug 1846 Lorain Co, OH and buried same.

Alva was the son of Isaac Curtis & Hannah Higbee. Alva's descendants are found in Lorain Co. and after 1840, some had removed to Dane Co, WI.

Chloe was the daughter of Eliphalet Whittlesey & Comfort Waller. Whittleseys also found in early Lorain Co.

Hoping to find proof of Alva & Chloe's children. Only two documented are Calista b. 6 Jun 1806 Stockbridge d. 12 Dec 1817 Lorain Co. and Pamelia Whittlesey Curtis b. 28 May 1808 Stockbridge m. Thaddeus Crane 13 Jul 1837 Lorain Co. Pamelia's DOD unknown but aft 1850.

Some other surnames attached to this Curtis family are Slauter, Warner, Dickinson, Hemphill, Turner.

If anyone has any clues about the children of Alva & Chloe, please let us know. Tons of history to share.

Thanks Ernie
