Hi Elizabeth,
I'm not actually searching for DeChant's myself, but when I come across something familiar, I try to help (just like you did). Eda DeChant is one of the students in my dad's school photo ca. 1913. Dad wrote the names of all his classmates on the back of the photo. (He's the first one in the top row.) He was from Avon Township. This is the address if you want to take a look.
