Although I do not know any Dechant family members personally, the family is well represented in Avon. For many years the family ran a farm market from their farm on Detroit road in Avon. I can remember my parents going there about 50 years ago. I believe that some family member still runs the farm market. A search of the White Pages on the internet for the surname Dechant in Avon, Ohio, found about 15 names.
