Hello,
I don't have any specific details about the Dechant family, but the name jumped out at me because I recently posted a photo to the Lorain County GenWeb Ancestral Images page. It is my father's class photo ca. 1913 and he had written down the names of all of his classmates; "Eda Dechant" was one of them.
