Allens in Logan Co. in mid-1870's

I am searching for any info or possible links to relatives of my great-great grandparents, Washington W. & Mary M. Allen. Her maiden name on their son Edward's death certificate is listed as McCanky, but I have never found any family with that name, so I believe it may have been something similar like McCracken or McCrary... One reason I suspect that it is McCracken is that in the McCracken Cemetery in East Liberty an infant boy Allen is buried with the inscription "son of W W and M Allen." I don't know for sure that this was their son, however. Washington and Mary were in Benton Co., MO by 1874-75. He died and is buried there, with his daughter Annetta (Nettie) dying only three days after him in March of 1875. He was a Mason, according to the tombstone inscription. Other children were Joseph Calvin, b. 1851, who married Minerva George in MO and later moved to Twin Falls ID, my great grandfather Edward, b. 1861, who married Susan Lemon in Warsaw, Benton Co., MO, and moved to Modesto, CA in the very early 1900's, and John H, b. 1859, about whom I have no info but believe it possible he stayed in Benton Co. or a neighboring one. I have no furhter info on Mary, either. All of the children were born in Logan Co. Does any of this tie in with anyone else's lines? Or does anyone else possibly have any mention of this family in related papers?
Thanks,
Cindi Allen Schmerber
