I have a Samuel Painter, probable brother to my gggrandfather Enoch born about 1806, married Nancy Anderson, and they had a daughter Martha, born about 1836. Enoch, Samuel, Jesse, John and unknown others I believe are the children of Samuel Painter and Margaret?. Enoch and family listed PA on census, lived in Knox-Licking Counties, moved west for the California gold rush. This information is mostly gleaned through some found letters. Do these names fit your family?
