Checked the sources I have at home for Licking Co Ohio for WYGANT:
Nothing in: Probate Records 1828-1904, Pioneer Life in Licking Co, Hills 1888 History Index, Fallsbury, Perry, Eden, & Hopewell Tp Cemeteries, Bristers 1909 History Index, Howes 1888, Washington Co Mrgs 1791-1804, Pre-1808 Transcribed Land Records, Common Pleas 1819-22 (partial), Partition Records 1831-36 (partial), Early County Home Register Index 1838-72, Newark Directory 1858-9, Tax Duplicates 1809, 1810, 1816, 1826, 1834, Chancery Record Index 1819-24,Transcribed Marriages 1808-75, Marriages 1875-9, 1883-9, 1820 Census Index.
*Marriages 1879-83 p74: Hannah WYGANT + Jerome B. TIFFANY 6 Apr 1881 J.H. Bara.
*1870 Census Index: John C. WYGANT Harrison Tp p137.
*1880 Census Index: John WYGANT Harrison Tp p81.
*Combined 1847 & 1854 Wallmaps & 1866 & 1875 Atlases: WYGAN p154 Harrison Tp 1875, James WYGANT p141.

I did find WYANT - WEIANT in the records. Other spellings may include WEYGANDT - WEYANT - WYGANDT.

Good luck. Have you tried the local genealogical society?
