There are a lot of HARRISes listed in Transcribed Records but no Valentine (see message 508 for info re this source). The only mention I have in the sources I have at home of a Valentine HARRIS is in the Probate Records 1828-1904 p65 which says that a Valentine HARRIS made his mark (X) along with Charles Hall (administrator), Isaac P. Larimore (administrator), & Jacob Row on the estate of Thomas HARRIS, bond $2000, dated 19 Dec 1856. There are Valentine HARRISes listed in the 1840 census in IL & VA; in 1830, in MA, but I did not find him in OH in my sources. I checked the following: Tax indexes 1809, 1810, 1816, 1826, 1834; Cemeteries in Fallsbury, Perry, Eden, & Hopewell Tps; Bristers Centennial History (1909) v1-2; Howes History (1888); Hills History Index (1881); Washington Co Mrgs 1791-1803; Marriages 1808-75; Pioneer Life in Licking Co; Memories of Newark; Pre-1808 Land Records; Common Pleas 1819-22; Partitions 1831-36; Partitions Respondents Index 1816-78; Chancery Index 1819-24; Newark Directory 1858/9; Census Indexes 1820, 1870, 1880, 1860 (partial); Early County Home Index 1838-72; & Combined Atlas (1847 & 54 Wallmaps & 1866 & 75 Atlases).
