Just looking for CORBINs before 1850, I found the following plus a little more later. Have you contacted Barbara Martin (barbmartin@wesnet.com)? She has an Andrew b.Newark 7 May 1845. In Transcribed Marriages 1808-75: p31 Francis CORBIN + Nathan DOWNING 4 Nov 1841 ("William CORBIN sworn"), p28 Levi CORBIN + Nancy DAKE 8 Sep 1839, Martha E. CORBIN + Stephen HARRIS 14 Nov 1839, p26 Jamima CORBIN + Joseph BEAVER 25 Dec 1825, p25 Francis CORBIN + David BEAVER Jr 6 Nov 1824, p24 Sarah CORBIN + Alexander WRIGHT 25 Jun 1823. CORBINs were in Hartford Tp in the 1847 Wallmap. In Probate Records 1828-1904: p49 David CORBIN admin/exec for John HEATER estate 18 Sep 1847, p15 John CORBIN appraiser for John BEATTY estate 24 May 1837, p22 William G. CORBIN admin/exec for Titus HOSKINS estate 25 May 1839. John CORBIN Jr & Sr owned personal property in Union Tp in 1826 tax list. John, Levi, Richard, & William CORBIN owned land in Hartford Tp in 1834 tax list. In the 1830 Ohio Census: (county, name (page)): Franklin - Aaron (89), Clermont - Abraham (233,235), Abraham C. (235), John (233, 235), John Jr (235), Nicholas (233), Knox - Alvin (273), Artomas (255), Lengler (255), Lyman (273), William A. (212), Tuscarawas - Humphrey (26), Thomas (26), Licking - John (483 Hartford Tp), Ross - John (225), Stark - John Baptiste (237), Pickaway - Nichodemus (67), Geauga - Simeon (251).
There are 34 CORBINs in the 1840 census index - do you have?
Hope this helps.
