I walked by an antique shop and noticed an old photo with information on the back. Many people buy these old photos to use as decoration in their restaraunts. I cringe when I see old photos with information on the back go to waste. So I bought it. Much to my husbands dismay.
The names on the back of the photo are
Ida Miller Jones
and their son, Roger Jones
I have no date for the photo. Perhaps the 1880? or 1890?
The photo was taken in Newark, Ohio at the Carpenter/ Thompson photo studio. I believe Newark is in Licking County. For all I know they did not live there, just stopped in town and got their photo taken.
The man has a full beard, bow tie and suit on. The woman has a lovely lace Victorian top and her hair is pulled up in a bun. Looks like they both have brown hair (or red) the son has blonde curls, his age may be four. I am not sure.
I would be happy to scan and send as a (jpeg file) for free or send the original for postage if you are related.
I just do not like old photos tossed away.
