I am also researching Tirey's or Tyre's as they married into my Trickeys. My grgrgrandfather James Trickey's sister, Edna, born in 1827 married a John Tirey, born 1823 This either happened in Va or Licking County, Ohio. They lived in Licking County Ohio in the 1850 census. Your James Tirey also lived there but was not married at the time. He was 20 years old according to census records. This Tirey family moved to Wyandot County Ohio in the early 1850's. Had children Renia, Spencer, Ellen or Ella, Newton and Malinda.
