-Albert Lewis DAUGHERTY, fireman 3d class USN, d.April 18-18 of pleurisy, suppurative, Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, VA, resided Newark, OH, enlisted Parkersburg
-George Robert STEWART, seaman 2d class USNRF, d.Sept 20-18 of broncho-pneumonia, USS New Mexico, resided Newark, OH, enlisted Parkersburg
-Louis Wilford WALL, seaman 2d class USNRF, d.Oct 1-18 of pneumonia, lobar, Naval Hospital, Naval Base, VA, resided Newark, OH, enlisted Parkersburg

On the Wisconsin website on US GenWeb...

"Welsh Pioneer at Rest. Ellis HUGHES who came here in '42', dies at the ripe old age of 72 years'. Ellis was a native of N. Wales. Son of William & Janet HUGHES who, with 9 children, emigrated to the US & went direct to Newark, OH. William arrived in Racine (WI) Christmas Day of same year, balance of family came in 1842.
