Just doing a quick check of what I have at home.
1992 LICKING CO, OH ATLAS - A COMBINED REPRINT OF 1847 & 1854 WALLMAPS & 1875 ATLASES p111 (the 1875 atlas). Refers to Isaac COOL as "a dashing horseman" who came with a message from the Governor of the State of Ohio to stop the execution (hanging) of Peter DIMOND who was accused of murdering a Mr. MITCHELL in 1825. An S. HAVER had land in either Etna or Fallsbury Tp on p.3 (1847 wallmap) - I'll need a magnifying glass to find him!
The above hanging is also referred to in the 1909 CENTENNIAL HISTORY OF THE CITY OF NEWARK & LICKING CO, OH by E.M.P. Brister v.1 p.384 & Isaac COOL is described as "the jailer".
In the INDEX OF 1816 TAX DUPLICATE RECORD OF LICKING CO, OH a William COOK is listed at range14 twp4 pg24(2) 2 parcels.
In the INDEX 1826 LICKING CO, OH TAX RECORD Isaac COOL is listed with p84 land in Newark, p91 other taxable property in Newark, p211 land in Bennington Tp, p237 land in Jersey Tp.
In the INDEX 1834 LICKING CO, OH TAX DUPLICATE William HAVER is listed p387 land in Lima Tp; Isaac COOL is listed p114 land in Newark, p124 land in Newark.
In the LICKING CO, OH MARRIAGES TRANSCRIBED BOOK 1808-1875, there's a Peter COOL p20 married Sophia HARRIS 15 May 1811, there are also several COOLYs/COOLEYs but no Isaac COOL; Jeriah HAVER p62 married Sarah WHITE 12 Apr 1826, no Ann HAVER.
In the REGISTRY OF JUDGEMENTS COMMENCING WITH JULY TERM 1818 there are listings for Isaac COOL p168, Peter COOL p22, 176, & William COOL p52. I only have the index.
I also checked LICKING CO, OH COMMON PLEAS COURT RECORDS 1819-1822, the PARTITION RECORDS 1831-36, & the INDEX LICKING CO, OH PRE-1808 TRANSCRIBED LAND RECORDS.
If all goes well, I will be visiting the Licking Co Genealogical Society this Wednesday, would you like me to check a few things?
