a number of people have told the story of Gabriel Warden & Jonas Seeley moving to Granville, Licking Co, OH in 1814. Jonas Seeley was the father of Mary (Polly) Seeley that married Gabriel Warden about 1809 in VT. I have looked at pioneers of that area 1806 thru Licking Land Co & do not find either name.
Four of their sons claim birth in OH, Homer June 14, 1814, Wm Seeley born May 6, 1816, George Brown July 18, 1817 & Hiram Cary born May 27, 1819. The next child born was Sarah April 6, 1821 making me think they moved to OH before her birth.
They were not in 1810 census, but was in 1820. Does anyone know when 1820 census was done in Licking Co?
