I am researching the line of Jacob METZGER and his wife Martha SNIDER (of Perry County), and someone sent me this obit for one of their daughters, who lived in Newark, Licking County. I'll post it for anyone else researching this line.
The Newark Advocate (Newark, Ohio), June 16, 1970:
Mary J Cochran
Funeral Services for Mrs Mary J Cochran,82, of 62
Commodore St., will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St
Francis deSales Church with burial in Holy Trinity
Cemetery, Somerset.
Mrs Cochran died Tuesday morning in Licking County
Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since
Friday.
Born in Somerset, April 2, 1888, she was a daughter
of the late Jacob and Martha Snider Metzger. Her first
husband, Trafford Litzinger, died in 1945; her second
husband Ross Cochran died in 1956.
Surviving are a daughter Mrs Nellie Woolard of
Newark, 10 grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren. Four sons are dead
Egan Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
