I have been searching for any information regarding the Linnville Inn for several years now with no luck until yesterday. In searching up and down the National Highway or National Road (Rt. 40) I stopped and talked to a resident who pointed to the house next to his and said that it was the Field's Motel and prior to that undoubtedly the Linnville Inn. This Inn was managed by my 3rd Great Grandparents, Dudley & Eliza (Milstead) Field. Their grave sites are just West of the old Motel/Inn and just behind a white frame church on the corner of Rt. 40 and Linnville Road. If anyone has information on the Motel/Inn or this Field family please post information.
