I just ran across this message from 1999.

From Mary Johnson Wallace:
I am looking for information on a John Douglas married to Mary Johnson Haney and living in Licking Co, OH around 1885. Mary's daughter and son-in-law moved to OH to live with her and new husband John. Son-in-law was Jeff Bowling from Rowan Co, Ky who had gotten in trouble during the Rowan Co. War. Apparently John Douglas had money and Jeff figured he could get some of it if John died so he killed him in the barn one morning. Would some one have a newspaper article on this murder? I would like to have a copy or further information on this case. If you can help me I would appreciate it very much. Mary

I tried to email, but it bounced back. Is someone out there that is trying, or has this puzzle put together?
