Searching for more information re: James McCartney b. 1797 in VA. =m= Eliza Barlow / Barklow (sic) 1834. ames lived in Greenup Co. 1830 (on census with 3 young children) James bought 2 pieces of land in 1834 in Lawrence Co. O. James was a blacksmith on his land in Pine Grove. James McCartney died there in 1848. He and Eliza McCartney 's 5 younger daughters
married, William Sanford Stewart,Johnathan Hite, Abner Fox,
Jacob Emmons, Hezekiah Thomas. All of these served in the Civil War. ould like to hear from any other descendants or anyone with other information.Pl;ease email me direct. hanks.
