I am attempting to find the parents of Maria A. Bates, wife of Caleb Bates, II (son of Caleb, grandson of Benjamin Bates, who came to LeRoy in 1809).
I suspect that Samuel White (husband of Charlotte Bates, lived in in Painesville for many years) is related to her, possibly a brother or uncle.
A Consider White lived next door to the Bates family in Chesterfield, Massachusetts, but aside from the Census there is no definitive link.
