I am researching my ggggrandmother Polly Clark Maynard Manly. She is listed on the 1850 census living with her brother Nahum Clark and a son Edgar A Manly. I believe this Edgar was Polly's step son, but not positively sure. A fellow researcher shared the following information: Found Edgar A.Manly at Lake CO, Ohio 1870. He md Gracie Brown in 1873. In 1880 He's at LeRoy, Lake ,Ohio 45 b VT, parents b MA, wf Gracey 24, Alfred E(Elverton) 7, Wm 2. In 1900 he is at Concord same county b Nov 1834, wf Grace and son Albert b 1888. In 1910 his wf has remarried to Charles Davis and Albert is living with them. So it is probable that Edgar died at Concord 1900-1910. I believe this Edgar Manly is the same on on the 1850 census with Polly. Polly Manly is on the 1880 census for Amherst, Ohio. Polly was living with her daughter Mary Jane Maynard Ware. I am descended from Mary Jane. I am hoping that someone on this list might have the Manly/Maynard connection that will help identify Polly Clark Maynard Manly's first husband, an unknown Maynard, Thank you for any suggestions or help.
