Hello, we are trying to find what happened to some of our Myers in the mid 1800s. Sophie Myers worked for Benjamin and Mary Bell and son Virgil when she was a widow at 28 in 1860. She was Sophia Kelly and married my gg grnadfather Henry Myers.
Sophia Kelly b Ohio 1852 mother b OH father PA
Henry Myers b Ohio mother Elizabeth Taylor DE father James Myers b 1810 WV/VA, by 1820 in ohio (the son Joseph was in Ohio senate)
story was both these died and Orpha and James were raised by by the two grandmothers, we have found some on Sophia but Henry is lost may have died off selling White sewing machines.
We are also trying to find James parents Henry and Isabel from Alsace to W?/VA 1800 then t Ohio and bought 600 acres.
Can you find anything or need more info?
