Howard, I don't get any of that. When I type Rootsweb.com and the page comes up I get 2 search engines one for Rootsweb and one for Ancestry. I type Samuel Gregg on the two boxes and I don't see a place for spouse or the choice of counties.. I get 9 out of 46? hits and then nothing. I guess I am stupid. I have been at this steady all winter and I have learned a lot of things about the computer but I am still struggling. I have had a few volenteers who have helped me but mostly a gal named Phyllis G. She is my angel.
She found a lot of stuff in the Quaker notes. I don't have much on Ann. Her name, birth place, death place marriage date,11 names of children with birth dates on the last 6. I have a son called Lot F. who I don't believe belongs to Sam and Ann. He was born in 1834, that is a long intervile between Lot and Tacy born in 1809. Samuels ancestors were
Thomas Gregg and Dinah Harlin, (no dates) a son , Thomas b abt 1740, He married Rebecca Janny in 1762, they had
issue of nine children, Samuel b. 1756was one of them. He and Ann married June 15, 1785 Loudoun VA. Quaker wedding.
So mostly I need dates.
Stuff on Thomas and Dinah , their son Thomas and Rebecca Janny, Sam's parents and grandparents would be nice.Their son Asa was my gg grandfather and there is tons of info on him in Muscatine C., IA. Thanks for your interest if it is too much I understand, believe ME!!!
