Thanks for your response. I'm not aware of any photos of Asa and Mahala, but will certainly keep it in mind. The connections are quite distant and not direct. Beulah Vandyke's brother, John Clyde Vandyke (1897-????) married my first cousin once removed, Helen M Bryan (1905-1967). And a more distant connection is through David Elwood "Pappy" Yocum, Jr (1920-2006), who married Mary L Felton (1920- ).
I show Asa's parents as David (1824-1888) and Mary Hoffel Yocum (1824-1890). Do you know if David is the son of John (abt 1799-????) and Sarah Davis Yocum (abt 1800-????)?
