Dungeon Hollow--where is it???

Hi Guys,

Recently, an article from the mid-1800's, involving my great-great grandfather, Asa Yocum, came to light. Asa, the head blacksmith of Osage, led a posse into Dungeon Hollow (described as a smaller version of the Grand Canyon), to look for a vagrant with an "abortive" mind, who terrorized the small community. He came out of Dungeon Hollow at night and raided cellars and chicken coops.
Well, Asa and the posse found him, half-naked with long strangly hair. The only thing he said to them was that his name was "Red River". He was taken to the county jail, then a few days later was transfered to a state institution where he soon died.
Dungeon Hollow had been used by the Indians in their hunting excursions. It is somewhere between Richmond, Toronto and Pleasant Hill.......Thanks for any assistance in it's location. Sue
