Clara Phillips, daughter of Elijah Phillips and Ann Keller, was probably born in 1860's or 1870's. I've not found her on the family census records for 1870 forward. Both the 1870 and 1880 census give a female that I've not identified. Died? Another name for Clara? None of the records I've checked in Steubenville have had her listed under Copp surname. (I've also tried Cobb and Cope in the census.) Not knowing the husband's first name limits the searching. The only info I have comes from the obituary of her sister Margaret Phillips McNary who died Sep 1927. Clara is listed as Clara Copp living in Bloomfield (now Bloomingdale).
If anyone knows about this person or has a suggestion on where I might look, I'd appreciate hearing from you.
