Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

The Jefferson County Genealogy Chapter of OGS is into the second or third year now...cleaning up and trying desperately to restore our local cemeteries...we will have a book soon not only with all the cemeteries but each will have a list of all KNOWN persons buried there...it is a long drawn out project but is dear to many in our organization. I will talk to the leader of the group and maybe clear up these locations for you...our meeting is this next Thursday...so watch for my reply...I will be back. Judie Knight Thornton
