John's grave was discovered by the Steubenville DAR in 1931 so it may well be marked. The old part of Island Creek Cemetery (around the brick church) is very small so it should not be hard to locate the grave if it is marked. I would pay particular attention to the upright brown stones as I saw some of that type which belonged to Revolutionary War Veterans. We were there last week and the cemetery is in very nice shape. I believe it is at the intersection of St. Rt. 213 and Co. Rd. 46. Not hard to find. Good luck!!!
