James H. & George W. Paxson, Sarah H. Willis
Posted by: Audrey Garretson (ID *****5709) Date: March 23, 2005 at 09:31:06

In my attempt to connect all the dots..........
I am looking for a Sarah G. WILLIS m/1839/40 James PAXSON in Jefferson Co., Ohio..............
That said...........
I have a James H. Paxson b/1807 in Loudoun Co., VA and is in Smithfield/Mt. Pleasant, Jeff Co., Ohio by 1846 to m/Nancy ROUSE. and has dau.Elizabeth in 1847.
In the 1850 census, James and Nancy are listed with eldest child, George W. b/1841 and then Elizabeth b/1847.
NOW, if George W. was b/1841 and James & Nancy didn't marry until 1846.......That could mean that James had a previous marriage.
Would this have been Sarah G. WILLIS?
Any assistance appreciated
Audrey
