Researching Meade surname and came across an estate notice, Huron County Court of Common Pleas, for the estate of Hiram Mead's; May 12, 1835 to be "continued till the next June Term." The Hiram Meade I am looking for was born in Fayette County, PA. His mother was Martha Meade (father unknown; possibly a George Meade)Martha and her children, except for daughter Jane, disappear from Fayette County records after 1831. The family does not appear in census records after !820 but was recorded in the Fayette County Pennsylvania Union township Tax Rolls 1816-1850 Names of Poor Children to be Schooled, up until 1831. Surname variations found in local PA records are Means, Meed, Meeds, Meade, Meads. Any help would be appreciated.
